Barbeque Nation – DIY Barbeque Redefined

If I had to describe in Barbeque Nation in two words, they would be F O O D  C O M A! If you haven’t heard of Barbeque nation before, they are a chain of restaurants that were founded in 2006 that re-define Indian barbeque. Their aim is to serve customers with dishes that are inspired by every part of India, hence the name “Barbeque Nation”, and to tell you the truth they have definitely inspired us all with their delicious meals and the best part is that its all for an unbelievably affordable price.  Since 2006, they have expanded all over India and now they are planning to take over Dubai!

Without further adieu, let me take you through my experience. Every dining experience, obviously starts with the drinks, I decided to order Bombay Collins and to be honest, I wasn’t a fan, it was too sweet to taste and was not very refreshing. Since my first drink was a bit of a flop, I went on to my plus one’s drink, for a cheeky sip, the Citrus Mint Cooler and it was super refreshing. After our drinks arrived, we were briefed about the concept of the DIY bbq and then our starters started rolling in and trust me when I say, they were endlessly rolling in! As part of their concept, the menu changes everyday to keep it interesting. We were served all of the starters listed below and I honestly loved all of the barbecued items and I completely stuffed my face but it was so worth it! Some of my favorites from the bbq was the Tandoori Chicken + Shrimp and of-course the Lamb Seekh Kebab was to die for!

As you can see in the photos, the main course was spread across a grand buffet with a live stir fry station, a Pani Puri station as well as a quesadilla station. I was super stuffed from the delicious bbq, so I was only physically able to try a few of the dishes. Everything I did try was good but could be better in terms of presentation and temperature. After all that forceful eating, it was time for dessert and by this point I couldn’t walk, talk or move, but I did have a taste of the Gulab Jamun as well as the Kulfi and there were both really good. They had flavors of kulfi I have never tasted before and they were all delicious.

Since they have something for everyone at a very affordable price, I would recommend Barbeque nation for family gatherings, birthday dinners and just events in general. Just make sure you all go with a huge appetite!
