When I first received the Jawbone to review, I thought I would quit tracking my activity as soon as I started, but now, I feel like it is much easier to track my food intake, my sleep and my all day activity. So for those of you who have not heard of the Jawbone UP2 before, it is a fitness tracker that has recently had a facelift to look more fashionable and elegant. I’ve been hooked on to the Jawbone UP2 for more than a week now, It has helped me be more active, and since I am quite competitive, I try to achieve my goal everyday.

DESIGN:

Jawbone has upgraded their design to a very simple and elegant wrist bracelet that comes in many colors. I personally feel it is really stylish, I have it in the color Purple and it fits right in when stack up my other bracelets. The Jawbone is mostly plastic on the face and it has three in built indicators that shows you if your in activity or sleep mode and alerts you when you reach your goal.  The straps are a silicon soft material which is not irritable to skin and sits perfectly but the locking system is just uncomfortable. I think the lock is the only thing I do not like about the device, it is very hard to put on and I definitely needed a hand in the start to put it on but on the bright side, once I secured the device, It did not fall off once. Overall, the design of the Jawbone UP2 is minimalistic, fashionable and largely what you would want in a mid range fitness tracker.

FUNCTION

Battery Life – Jawbone claims to have a battery life of 7 days, which is good since all fitness trackers have around the same battery life. However, since I started using it and it lasted a full 8 days before I had to charge it again which is a plus!

Rain, Water and Shower Proof – I love stacking up my arm candy and I hate having to take them off all the time but with the Jawbone, I never take it off, I’ve showered and exercised with it almost everyday and have not seen any changes in performance.

Price – The Jawbone retails for only AED479, which is what I would describe as an average price for a device that can track your every step. I would only suggest investing in this product if you

AVALIBILITY:

The UP2 tracker by Jawbone is now available new colors, 5 of which include an all-new strap design, for AED 479 at Virgin, Jumbo, Emax, Sharaf DG and iStyle.
