Spirito means spirit in Brazilian and what I was told by my server was that Spirito was based on the Brazilian concept of sharing which I thought was a genius idea! That’s why they have large tables that can be shared with any stranger having a meal at Spirito! So they definitely managed to grab my attention with that concept. When I walked in, my first thoughts were that the decor was absolutely gorgeous, the lights were my favorite feature of the place, it added a very relaxed yet romantic ambience. I also loved the vibe I felt when I walked in and listening to Brazilian music just put me in the mood to dance but obviously eat first! 😉
Moving on to the food, we were given a selection of four sauces to go with our starters. All their appetizers are small plates and mostly consist of two to three pieces. We ordered quite a lot and some dishes were great and some were average but when your with friends drinking and chatting, the small plates and finger foods are exactly what you need. My absolute favorite dish was the Carioca Buratte which is basically a buratta pizza; it was amazing and I highly recommend you try it! For dessert, I tasted the Chocolate Bon Bon cake and Doughnuts and let me just say mini Doughnuts are my weakness and Spirito’s Doughnuts were out of this world!!!! They were warm, soft, pillow like balls coated with sugar and they just melted in my mouth. Overall, my experience at Spirito was good. I enjoyed the Brazilian music, food and ambience. It’s definitely worth trying!
