If you follow me on Instagram, you would know that I went on a short trip to Turkey. My friends and I decided to venture out on one last trip together to celebrate our graduation. We spent 7 days in Turkey – 4 nights in Istanbul and 3 nights in Fethiye. One of my goals since the launch of the new R&R is to introduce the Travel segment. In this new segment,  I will be blogging about my experiences in the form of a travel diary!

We chose to go to Turkey mostly because it was affordable and close for short trip. We included Fethiye in the mix so we have a adventure time as well as get to relax by the beach! It was perfect! We started off with an early morning flight from Dubai to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines which had good food, entertainment and service. 4 hours, 50 minutes later – We arrive in Istanbul and make our way to Panoramic Terrace Suites. Our suites were located in Taksim which was the Downtown of Istanbul. The suites were spacious and right next to a police station so we were all very safe! If any of you are planning a trip to Istanbul, I highly recommend these suites, they are great for families or groups.

We were a bit early for check-in, so we decided to take a walk on Istiklal  Street and have brunch. I forgot what the restaurant was called but it was so good! As you can see, I like to travel comfortably with my sneakers, rugsack and leggings.

We decided to walk down to the Galata Tower but I stopped for a cheeky little ice cream. The Turkish ice cream was available every block and it was amazing. Definitely a must-try!

Me at Galata Tower! It is worth going up there, the view was breathtaking.

A few hours later, we had some early dinner at a really cool restaurant called Parole and called it an early night!

Hope you enjoyed reading about my travel experiences! Day 2 of my Turkey travel Diary will up soon!
