Last weekend, I visited the Ripe Market at Zabeel Park. It was so nice to finally do something different rather than go to the mall, shop and watch a movie. I was honestly surprised that I decided to be a little productive on the weekend; I woke up at 9am and decided to workout, which was a big deal for me, VERY big deal. And the only reason I worked out is so I would not feel guilty having the most delicious four cheese Ka’ak from Ka’ak Al Manara. For those of you who don’t know what a Ka’ak is, it is one of the many Lebanese street foods that is quite similar to a Manakeesh. Alongside Ka’ak Al Manara, there were many other stalls, Moti Roti, Yamanote, Rice Creamy, as well as some healthy options like Saladicious, Raw and many more. I loved the energy at the market; it felt good to do something different for a change plus the weather is amazing!
I highly recommend you check it out, and you have to try the four-cheese Ka’ak!
The ripe market is open from 9am to 2pm every Friday at the Zabeel Park – Gate 1.
